Abstract

The rapid development of 5G communication technology has brought development opportunities to a series of new applications, such as Internet of Things and autonomous driving. While 5G brings opportunities to the semiconductor industry, it also brings a series of challenges. In this paper, we outline the opportunities and challenges faced by the semiconductor industry in the 5G era. Our findings in this paper give directions for the development of the semiconductor industry in the future.
