Abstract
In recent years, various colors of Mabe pearls have appeared in the market, some of which are rare in seawater cultured pearls. In this paper, a purple Mabe pearl was collected for gemological routine testing and related test analysis. It was found that it was treated by beading and bead nucleus coloration, which was difficult to detect in routine identification detection. Infrared spectroscopy and X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy analysis considered it to be Seawater pearls, magnified observation and UV-vis spectral analysis are indicative of their color processing.
