Abstract
At present, China is in a critical period of development, and the economic transformation has triggered a “ domino” effect. Market economy not only brings well-being to modern society, but also exposes the shortcomings in the development process. The uneven distribution of benefits, the imperfect social security system, and the lack of reasonable demands give heresy an opportunity. As spiritual opium parasitic on society in the process of human civilization, cults have become one of the public hazards in the international community and threatened the safety of society. Exploring the reasons for the breeding of cults is conducive to the establishment of an early warning mechanism and a preventive mechanism against cults. Punishment of evil cults by thinking of the rules of law, cracking down on evil cults and crimes, and building a harmonious society.
