Abstract
In the new term of College English reform recently, it is clearly addressed that ESP is an integral part of College English curriculum. Under this new situation, it is vital to make a sound ESP course design for promoting an overall practice of College English teaching. Since genre has been the focus of current ESP research, it is adopted as underlying theories to analyze ESP course design in College English from the aspects of needs analysis, teaching objectives and methods.
