Abstract
Based on the national advocacy and requirements for strengthening the innovation and entrepreneurship work of ordinary colleges and universities, this paper summarizes the innovation and entrepreneurship education model for English majors of several private colleges and universities including the Hubei Institute of Commerce, through literature review, verbal interviews, and experience summarization, analyses the innovations of these models, and on this basis, proposes a new approach to the cultivation of applied talents for English majors in private colleges under the background of "Innovation and Entrepreneurship".
