Abstract
In China, buying a home is a decision that needs to be carefully thought out. The willingness to buy a house and the behavior of buying a house reflect the development of the country's economy. Residents' purchase decisions are closely related to personal and family characteristics. Based on the data of the China Comprehensive Social Survey (CGSS) in 2013 and the Probit model analysis, this paper concludes that whether there are children has a negative effect on the family's purchase intention, the family's annual income and private car ownership have a negative effect, while the effect of individual's age and education level on the purchase intention is not significant.
