Scaffolding Instruction and Its Application in the Teaching of English Listening

According to the theory of scaffolding instruction, the author builds a model based on the dialogues between teachers and students and aim at the construction of the interactive relationship between teacher-student and student-student. Applying this model in the teaching of English listening, we can fully exert the guidance role of teachers and the dominant role of students. In the interactive activities, we can cultivate students’ interests to participate in practice and upgrade their listening skills gradually.
