Abstract
China's higher education is increasingly placing the quality of education at the forefront, emphasizing the development of students' comprehensive quality and innovative ability. As one of the important components of foreign language education in Chinese universities, English education is transforming the development situation and reforming the education model. While China's higher education is developing rapidly, it has placed an important position on improving the quality of education, emphasizing the cultivation of students' comprehensive quality and innovative ability. Anglo-American literature plays an important role in College English teaching because of its cultural background value, writing promotion value and the promotion value of language appreciation and aesthetic ability. Strengthening the application of English and American literature in College English teaching is an important educational way to improve students' humanistic quality, which can realize the effective combination of language and literature. Students should be encouraged to dare to speak and other ways to realize the construction of a new model of combining British and American literature with college English teaching, so as to play an important role in English teaching.
