Abstract
Using the data of 2016 in the yellow sea detected by the MODIS sensor on the EOS-Aqua satellite launched by NASA, and using the quantitative relationship between the attenuation coefficient of light passing through a certain sea water and the horizontal visibility of the sea water, the transparency of sea water in different seasons in the yellow sea in 2016 was reflected. The overall results showed that the visibility of seawater in the yellow sea changed significantly with the seasons in 2016, reaching the maximum in summer and the worst in winter.
