Abstract

Local undergraduate universities and colleges compose an important part of China’s higher education system; their transformation and development are the requirements of higher education development as well as the social and economic development. Since the Report on the Work of the Government clearly put forward that we should “promote the transformation of qualified ordinary undergraduate universities into application-oriented universities”, the state, the local governments and universities have actively promoted the transformation and development of schools. But in this process, there are still some problems such as unclear school running ideas and the construction of teachers’ team.
