Abstract
			With the development and popularization of internet, the virtual reality technology has become the new form for humans in social practices. Nowadays, the great change of education environment and education object will certainly promote the ideological and political education idea reform in colleges and universities. Colleges and universities should update idea, explore multiple forms of virtual reality and realize organic combination of virtual reality and ideological and political education thus to gradually form the new pattern of interaction and supplementary between virtuality and reality, enrich the classroom teaching content and give full play to the timeliness of ideological and political education. Virtual reality experiment teaching is the important content of information construction for higher education and experiment teaching demonstration center construction, and is the development direction of universities in practical teaching. In order to further enhance the teaching level and quality of ideological and political theory course in universities, this paper discusses the application of virtual reality technology in the course teaching process. Wherein, the virtual reality technology enhances the learning interest and learning efficiency of students through the learning modes of self-learning, independent experiment and self-innovation, consolidate and deepen their theoretical knowledge and obtains good teaching effect, which can be further promoted and demonstrated.
