Abstract

Chinese traditional culture is extensive and profound, with a long history. It has precipitated and inherited many valuable achievements of folk art and culture in the changes of the times, such as shadow play, folk paper-cut, drama culture, ceramic technology and so on, which are the treasures of Chinese national culture. In the development of today's era, how to combine traditional folk art with modern design concepts and create works with both modern flavor and traditional elegant fashion has become a place we need to pay attention to and think about. Among them, as a traditional Chinese art form, paper-cut pattern has very high technical value, and has the title of "mother of folk art". Therefore, how to apply paper-cut pattern flexibly and skillfully to modern fashion design, so that modern fashion design can present the beauty of traditional craftsmanship and modern city. This paper is based on paper-cut pattern in modern times. The application of the paper-cut pattern in fashion design is analyzed and discussed, which provides a certain reference for the better integration of paper-cut pattern and modern fashion design. It also provides a valuable reference for the better application of paper-cut pattern in modern design and for more people to appreciate the beauty of traditional Chinese culture.
