Abstract
The concept of “learner autonomy” belongs to the category of educational philosophy. From the perspective of pedagogy, this paper combines the practice of English teaching reform in science and engineering universities to explore how to cultivate and develop learner autonomy in the process of college English teaching. The paper argues that, just as students should learn to be responsible for their own learning, teachers and teaching management should also think about how to create conditions for developing and developing learner autonomy.
