Abstract

Good autonomous learning ability is powerful tool for student’s professional learning and ability development in science and engineering colleges. How to cultivate and develop Autonomous Learning Ability has become a hot topic in the field of college English teaching, and it is also a major focus of English teaching reform in contemporary colleges of science and engineering. This paper analyses the necessity and main problems of student’s English autonomous learning ability, and points out some suggestions for improvement to effectively improve the student’s English level of in science and engineering college.
