Abstract
The funeral dancing, also known as Salz, is an ancient funeral ritual unique to the Tujia people. It is mainly popular in the Tujia area of the Qingjiang River district. It corresponds to the popular area of hand-waving dancing. So there is a saying” hand-waving dancing in the south and the funeral dancing in the north”. This paper mainly starts from the origin and manifestation of the funeral dance of the Tujia people, and analyzes the national cultural psychology of the Tujia dance.
