Abstract

The evaluation of higher education financing performance (HEFP) is often limited to the government's financial department, education authorities and research institutions, and currently the public understanding of college financing is only partial. Therefore, the public’s evaluation of HEFP has become the focus of attention. It is necessary to conduct research on this field in order to fully gather social recognition and lay an important foundation for the construction of HEFP evaluation system. This research established a system for the public’s evaluation of HEFP, and made an analysis of correlations between the key factors of HEFP. The research findings show that investment in facilities and policy environment had significant influence on HEFP evaluation. The research provides reference and suggestions for improving China's higher education financing evaluation system and higher education financing fund management mechanism.
