Abstract
Geotechnical engineering plays a fundamental role in the construction industry, and the quality of its design is closely related to the safety and stability of the entire project. The geology conditions of geotechnical engineering are complicated, and the change of the groundwater level and geological hazards during operation make it a tough job to design. Traditional design approaches lack the necessary tools to address such complicated risks. The paper discusses the benefits of risk-control-based geotechnical engineering design and, including aspects such as dynamic risk identification through geological surveys, limit state optimization design, construction methods improvement and multi-dimensional risk-limiting mechanism formulation along with full-cycle monitoring over time, it presents essential design technologies and optimal means in an attempt to furnish a strong reference for smooth geotechnical engineering project construction.
