Abstract
Municipal road and bridge projects are the dominant subjects of urban infrastructure and its good construction quality directly affects the safety of urban transportation facility service life,. The settlement section of the subgrade becomes one of several important places to provoke problems when building municipal roads and bridges. The settlement region of the subgrade usually has troubles like excessive agreement, cracks at joints and negative bearing ability due to geological situations, build technique and seasonal environment. These problems not only compromise the smoothness of pavements and cause vehicles to bump up more, but in extreme cases can also lead to destressing structural deformations in bridges and roads which increase safety risks. Accordingly, the article summarizes the useful technical methods applicable in different aspects such as pre-construction preparation, core technical points of work processes and technology selection and adaptation strategies during ongoing construction monitoring and key parameter adjustment. The purpose is to be able to provide guidance for engineering practice, and then it can help solve the settlement section problems that must occur when constructing the subgrade of municipal road and bridge projects.along with the long-term stable operation.
