Abstract
Steel structure building has become an important form in modern architectural system. The building structure information model with a certain depth established by building information model (BIM) technology can be used for structural calculation and analysis, structural design, in-depth design of fabricated steel structure, basic model of intelligent construction on site, and maintenance, operation and transformation in the later stage of construction delivery. BIM can integrate the massive heterogeneous data from multiple sources generated in the construction process, and realize the visual, graphical and interactive management of the construction process. In this paper, the construction process simulation and structural safety analysis method of building structure based on BIM technology are studied. By constructing a high-precision three-dimensional BIM model and integrating the time dimension to form a four-dimensional construction simulation, the dynamic visualization of construction progress and procedures is realized. BIM technology must be applied flexibly in the field of building construction, and construction materials should be selected more quickly according to actual needs, so as to achieve the effect that traditional construction methods cannot achieve.
