Abstract
This paper explores the importance, current status, and strategies for cultivating critical thinking skills of college students against the backdrop of the information age. Research indicates that critical thinking is an indispensable core competency in the information age, holding significant importance for both the personal development of college students and societal progress. However, the cultivation of critical thinking skills in college students currently faces numerous challenges, such as information overload and outdated educational models.
