Abstract

In the long history of China, traditional culture, like a bright pearl, shines with the brilliance of cultural spirit. Based on this background, this paper deeply analyzes the important position of traditional culture in folk dance performance and its far-reaching influence on modern dance teaching. This paper emphasizes that traditional culture is not only the treasure of cultural spirit, but also the soul of folk dance performance. As a unique cultural phenomenon, folk dance performance bears the essence of traditional culture, and they are interdependent and develop together. It is found that traditional culture plays an important role in folk dance performance and has a noticeable influence on modern dance teaching. However, in actual teaching, problems such as insufficient integration of traditional culture and single teaching methods and means are still outstanding. In view of these problems, this paper puts forward some countermeasures, such as strengthening traditional culture education, innovating teaching methods and means, improving teachers' quality and constructing scientific evaluation system. This study provides strong theoretical support and practical guidance for the inheritance and development of folk dance performance art.
