Abstract
This study aims to systematically review and project trends in research about pre-established medical care plans, with a focus on discussing current research dynamics, identifying emerging hotspots, and analyzing areas requiring improvement to inform future studies. To achieve this, a literature search was conducted in the PubMed database from 2013 to 2023, specifically targeting preemptive healthcare planning. A total of 4,734 papers were reviewed, revealing a growing interest in advanced healthcare planning. High-impact journals, primarily from the United States, United Kingdom, and Australia, were identified as key contributors to this field, with a concentration on areas such as healthcare, geriatrics, nursing education, and gynecology. The key research themes emerging from this review included palliative care, end-of-life care, advance directives, and communication. In conclusion, research in advanced healthcare planning encompasses a diverse range of hotspots, and future studies should strategically integrate these elements with clinical practice to develop targeted interventions and models for effective healthcare planning.
