Abstract
As a treasure of traditional Chinese medicine, TCM boasts a profound history and an extensive theoretical framework. This paper aims to delve into the historical and cultural context of TCM, alongside its current role and challenges within contemporary society. Ancient Chinese medicine embodies the accumulated medical knowledge and practical experiences of the Chinese people over thousands of years. It represents the wisdom distilled from the struggle against illnesses and the pursuit of health, serving as a crucial repository for documenting medical practices and clinical experience, and stands as an integral component of ancient Chinese literature. As a vital underpinning for the effectiveness of Chinese medicine, ancient Chinese medical texts have consistently informed clinical practices and scientific research, from antiquity to the present day. The incorporation of TCM into modern medical practices sheds light on its practical contributions to the prevention and treatment of diseases while also scrutinizing the global dissemination and acceptance of TCM in the face of increasing internationalization. The influence of cutting-edge science and technology, particularly the intersection of TCM with big data and artificial intelligence, plays a significant role in advancing TCM research. Looking ahead, the development trajectory of TCM is poised to significantly shape global healthcare, as the discipline increasingly integrates with contemporary scientific methodologies. Through a comprehensive examination of these dimensions, grounded in real-world applications, emerging theories and technologies related to digital intelligence are leveraged, facilitating the discovery and full utilization of the wealth of knowledge hidden within the classical medical texts of bygone eras.
