Abstract

This paper aims to explore the status and challenges of traditional culture under the background of globalization, and the role of higher education in inheriting and developing traditional culture. By analyzing the importance and urgency of integrating traditional culture into higher education, this paper tries to reveal its far-reaching significance in cultivating students' cultural literacy, promoting traditional culture and promoting the reform and development of higher education. In terms of methods, this paper first reviews the research progress on the application of traditional culture in higher education, and summarizes the existing achievements and shortcomings. Then, the integration path and practical strategy of traditional culture in higher education are deeply discussed from the aspects of curriculum setting, teaching content innovation, teaching methods and means reform. This paper holds that the integration of traditional culture in higher education is the need of inheriting and developing traditional culture, and it is also the inevitable requirement of the reform and development of higher education itself. Through in-depth research and practical exploration, we can contribute more wisdom and strength to the inheritance and development of traditional culture and the reform and innovation of higher education.
