Abstract
This paper discusses the inheritance and innovation of Marxist theory in ideological and political education. By reviewing the historical development of Marxist theory and analyzing its fundamental role in contemporary ideological and political education, the practical significance of inheritance is elaborated. The article further explores the necessity and driving force of Marxist theory innovation in ideological and political education against the background of globalization, scientific and technological progress, and diversification of social trends, proposes innovative paths for updating educational content, reforming teaching methods, and expanding practice platforms, and evaluates the effectiveness of these innovative initiatives. Finally, the article looks forward to the future development direction of Marxist theory in ideological and political education, emphasizing the importance of the integration of theory and practice and the trend of educational innovation in the global perspective.
