Abstract

With the development of regional economy, private colleges and universities in Liaoning Province play an increasingly important role in the field of education. By analyzing the current situation of the development of Liaoning's regional economy, this article discusses the positioning and role of private colleges and universities in Liaoning's economic development, and examines the main challenges and advantages they face. The article firstly outlines the development of Liaoning regional economy and its impact on education development; secondly, it analyzes in detail the development status of Liaoning private colleges and universities and the challenges they face in terms of funding, faculty and employment; finally, it proposes a strategy for positioning the development of private colleges and universities based on the background of the regional economy, including the direction of school running in conjunction with the regional economy, the strengthening of the combination of industry-university-research and the enhancement of internationalization level, and so on. This paper aims to provide theoretical support and practical guidance for the development of private colleges and universities in Liaoning, in order to promote them to play a greater role in the regional economy.
