Effects of Chinese College Students Self-learning Courses for Prospective Professional Lives

Abstract

With the increasing employment pressure, it is very important for college students to cultivate good comprehensive ability and make adequate preparation for their prospective professional lives. To explore the relationship between self-learning and the development of prospective professional lives of college students, in this study, using convenience sampling survey, data was collected on 613 Chinese college students’ opinion on the effect of self-learning for their prospective professional lives. Result shows, participants have a recognition that self-learning has positive effect on their prospective professional lives. For college students, self-learning is an important way to broaden their knowledge and improve their professional ability outside the classroom. Through factor analysis, three factors are extracted, which are professional ability improvement effect, environment effect and subject effect.
