Abstract
The Internet of Things technology has shown significant impact and contribution in cost management of major engineering projects. This technology improves the real-time and accuracy of cost management through real-time data monitoring and collection, providing project managers with accurate cost information. The Internet of Things technology has promoted the intelligence and automation of cost management, reduced human errors, and improved management efficiency. In addition, Internet of things technology has also promoted innovation in cost management models, achieved the sharing and collaborative management of cost information, and enhanced the collaborative ability of project teams. Although cost management for major engineering projects faces many challenges, the application of Internet of Things technology provides strong support for project managers, helping to cope with various challenges, ensuring the smooth implementation of projects and effective cost control. With the continuous development and improvement of Internet of Things technology, it is believed that its role in cost management of engineering projects will become more prominent, making greater contributions to the successful implementation of engineering projects and the improvement of economic benefits.
