Abstract

This paper delves into the influence of rolling process on the microstructure and properties of steel. Through a systematic analysis of various rolling process parameters, including rolling temperature, deformation rate, and cooling methods, the paper explores how these factors affect the grain size, grain shape, texture, and mechanical properties of steel. The research findings indicate that optimizing the rolling process can significantly refine the grain structure of steel, regulate its microstructural morphology, thereby enhancing the strength and plasticity of steel, and ultimately achieving optimized comprehensive properties. Additionally, the rolling process directly impacts the surface quality of steel, addressing issues such as flatness, roughness, and oxide scale. The research outcomes presented in this paper provide vital technical support for the large-scale application of steel in industries such as automobiles, shipbuilding, aerospace, and propel the industrialization process of novel steel types like ultra-high-strength steel.
