Abstract

Ideological and political education is a vital discipline that concerns the future of the country, the destiny of the nation, and the happiness of the people. This is another important project related to socialist modernization. Ideological and political education is an essential guarantee and driving force for socialist modernization. It has played a positive role in building the consensus, cohesion, soul, and talent of socialist modernization. However, the modernization of ideological and political education in the new era also faces problems such as outdated concepts, outdated content, single methods, and imperfect systems. It requires profound reflection and reform. Therefore, the modernization of ideological and political education should adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, innovate concepts, optimize content, transform methods, improve systems, promote the coordinated development of ideological and political education and socialist modernization, and provide strong spiritual power and intellectual support for the realization of the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
