This paper first introduces the characteristics of chaotic model and explains the advantages of chaotic model in image encryption. Then the link between chaos theory and cryptography is briefly summarized to provide theoretical support for image encryption. Then, several commonly used chaos models are introduced in detail, and their advantages and disadvantages in application are summarized.
