Under the background of the new era, classical dance teaching, as an important part of dance teaching in higher vocational colleges, is not only the representative of dance teaching level in higher vocational colleges, but also the way to inherit Chinese excellent traditional culture. This paper discusses the practical significance of Chinese classical dance teaching in the new era, analyzes the teaching mode of higher vocational colleges, expounds the problems and shortcomings of classical dance teaching mode in higher vocational colleges, and puts forward the development path of reform and innovation, hoping to provide some reference for the reform and innovation of Chinese classical dance teaching in Higher Vocational Colleges and promote the inheritance and development of traditional culture.
