Abstract

With the reform of educational curriculum standards, the education and teaching methods of colleges and universities in China are also changing with each passing day. In recent years, colleges and universities have begun to pay new attention to the improvement of students’ art appreciation ability. As a representative musical instrument, piano has become more and more common in people’s life. No matter where it is, there will be piano elements more or less. However, in piano teaching in colleges and universities in China, the use of domestic piano works is often not strong, affecting students’ understanding of Chinese piano works to a great extent. This paper starts with analyzing the significance of Chinese piano works to piano teaching in colleges and universities in China, finds out the problems in piano teaching in China, and puts forward corresponding solutions, hoping to have a certain guiding role for piano educators in colleges and universities.
