Abstract
Social media platforms are important information conduits and often considered as important gatekeepers for influencing, reinforcing and reflecting various gender-based stereotypes which reflect existing gendered qualities and traits. With the growth of social media ads, it is sad to see a rather thin body image of women portrayed while actually, women across the globe are becoming fatter and heavier.
