Abstract
So far, western critics have different views on the nature and characteristics of the British novel art in the nineteenth century, but basically reached a consensus, that is, starting with Jane Austen, female writers have begun to enter the stage of British literature. Jane Austen is not only a cross-century novel star, but also with Charlotte Blunt and other outstanding female writers in the history of British novels to create a history of writing literary novels with women, opening a new chapter in the history of British literature. This article compares the literary status of Austin and Bronte.
