Abstract
The French Revolution is famous for subverting the feudal order and monarchy. "Reform" and "revolution" are sometimes interchangeable, but in this paper, the former strictly refers to the internal changes of existing institutions, while the latter refers to institutional changes. This paper focuses on the objectives and impact of early economic reform and its compromise on social and political systems, which not only provides a more objective framework to measure revolutionary radicalism, but also provides a standard to determine the dynamic balance in the process of radicalism.
