Abstract
Using postcolonial theory, this paper analyzes the national consciousness embodied in the national literature of Ireland, Scotland, Wales and other British regions, and points out that the national literature expresses its love for its own language and culture in various ways, and opposes English in various non-standard forms, especially subverting standard English through “violent language”, So as to highlight the identity and status of national literature and reflect the thought of national independence.
