Abstract
Applied linguistics is an important guiding theory in college English writing teaching, and many teaching theories based on applied linguistics have been widely applied in college second language writing teaching. However, with the development trend of economic globalization, the society has an increasingly high demand for talents in colleges and universities. As an important indicator of English ability, English writing ability has gradually been paid more attention to in college English teaching. Therefore, from the perspective of applied linguistics, this paper focuses on the study of college English writing teaching, and puts forward the teaching strategies of English writing based on applied linguistics.
