Abstract

The library is the information center of universities, and library resources are the cornerstone of library service. With the rapid development of communication and network technology, the collection structure of university library has changed from traditional single print resources to the coexistence of print and electronic resources. Hence, it is imperative to optimize the collection structure and pay attention on the use of library resources. In this article, the recent situation about the use of university library resources in China is analyzed and factors that affect the utilization of library resources are identified and discussed. Strategies to optimize the collection structure of library resources and improve the utilization of library resources are suggested.
