Research on Strategies to Improve the Effectiveness of College English Reading Teaching by Using Mind Mapping

Reading has always been one of the most important teaching contents in English education, as well as one of the main ways for students to obtain information and improve their skills. However, in view of the current situation of English reading teaching in most universities in China, some teachers still focus on traditional teaching methods in English reading teaching and overemphasize and understand grammar, vocabulary and sentence structure, which seriously affects students' enthusiasm for English reading teaching and also limits their ability to read English. Therefore, it is necessary to make effective plans and use new teaching methods to improve students' English reading ability according to the current situation of English reading education in China. This paper briefly introduces the advantages and feasibility of applying mind mapping to English reading education.
