Abstract

Chinese traditional decorative elements have developed and evolved in a long history. They have unique aesthetic habits and traditional cultural connotations. They have discovered and refined decorative elements of Chinese traditional arts. Traditional decorative elements, as a cultural form, are the product of the continuous development and evolution of people's aesthetic ability. They come from labor creation and social activities and go through natural selection from low to high. With the continuous improvement of people's living standards, higher requirements have been put forward for modern interior design, which makes designers not only need to solve food and clothing, but also need to consider people's spiritual needs when making interior decoration. Modern interior design needs to integrate traditional decorative elements, and constantly innovate on this basis, so as to create works with national characteristics and meet the aesthetic needs of the people. This paper explores the importance of traditional decorative elements in interior decoration, and analyzes the rules and methods of applying traditional decorative elements to modern interior design.
