Abstract
With the rapid development of information technology in the Internet age, the network has become ubiquitous, data has become ubiquitous, and knowledge is ubiquitous. This makes students’ traditional learning methods encounter huge challenges. The channels and scope of people's education have become more and more extensive. The characteristics of time-space, openness and diversity of network information dissemination have caused college students to no longer be limited to a passive recipient, but to act as an independent self-media. While bringing unprecedented opportunities to education, it also brings new problems and challenges. This paper first analyzes the Internet and the ideological and political education in colleges and universities. In order to explore the innovative development path of ideological and political education in colleges and universities in the Internet period, and finally realize ideological and political education in colleges and universities, this paper puts forward an effective way for the development of ideological and political education in colleges and universities in the Internet age.
