Abstract

The word “guan” develops the meaning of “control and jurisdiction” on the basis of the noun meaning of “key”. The use of preposition “guan” originated from the verb meaning “control”, and its intermediary syntactic condition is “guan+NP1+V2+NP2”, through the reanalysis and extension mechanism, the word “guan” semantically de-semanticized, experienced the process from “control” to “introduction of objects” and then to “disposition”; In the process of grammaticalization, the characteristics of dynamic parallelism, domain-limited, verb pairing are presented.
