Abstract

With the aggravation of globalization, all countries and regions in the world not only communicate more frequently in economy and culture, but also in thought and language. As an international language, mastering English has become a trend. This paper mainly discusses when and how modal auxiliary words are stressed in general affirmative sentences, introduces the relationship between meaning and stress of sentences, and the stress of basic auxiliary words in negative sentences and interrogative sentences.
