Abstract
Higher mathematics teaching covers more mathematical concepts and formulas. In the process of teaching, teachers adopt traditional teaching methods; put most of the class hours on the interpretation formula and let the students apply the formula, but ignore the teaching of mathematical thought and ideological and political education contained in the concept of mathematics. This paper expounds the ways and significance of organically combining higher mathematics teaching with ideological and political education from many aspects, to promote teachers to teach and educate people. Therefore, based on analyzing how higher mathematics teachers improve their ideological and political consciousness, this paper discusses the ideological and political path in higher mathematics teaching.
