Abstract

Interactive teaching method advocates that the best way to learn verbal communication is through verbal communication itself, and language will be effectively learned only when the learner's mental intelligence and language input interact with each other, and there are peech communications and social interactions between learners. However, before entering college or university, most of the English education accepted by students is based on the traditional teaching method, which is mainly the study of grammar rules and neglects the cultivation of the practical use of the language. As a result, even after learning English for many years, students still dare not communicate in English. Therefore, application of interactive teaching method in college English teaching becomes very important. On the basis of summarizing and analyzing previous study results, this paper expounds the current situation of college English teaching, the existing problems of traditional English teaching, the background and core connotation of interactive teaching method, analyzes the teaching model of college English based on interactive teaching method, and finally proposes the curriculum design of college English based on interactive teaching method. The research results of this paper provide a reference for further study on the application of interactive teaching method in college English teaching.
