Abstract
This article observes the lexical strategies of Business English texts mainly in these aspects such as contents diversity and high specialization, formal and precise diction, various methods of word formation, polysemy, and old words with new meanings, among which especially the formation of Business English new words in the business context and the generalization of the formation characteristics will contribute to Business English learners’ understanding and mastering Business English vocabularies. The presentation of the lexical strategies of Business English texts shows there is a close relationship between lexical means and vocabulary acquisition, and there are some beneficial implications for Business English vocabulary teaching.
