Abstract
In 399 B.C., Athenians sentenced the death penalty to Socrates for “impiety” and “corrupting the youth”, but his death is always significant during the development of the Western Civilization. Socrates’ transcendental challenging to the Athenian polis made the jury trial and execute him, but his immortal soul has been promoting the development of the Western Civilization.
