Abstract
Located in the middle of the Hexi Corridor, Shandan County is one of the earliest areas of agricultural development in history. The water resources in the region are mainly river water, spring water and well water. Through the study of water resources, canals, water rules and the number of irrigated fields in the region, it is believed that the development of water conservancy facilities during the Daoguang period played a major role in agricultural development in the region.
