Abstract
With the deepening of education reform in China, more attention has been paid to the cultivation of students'core literacy in order to improve their ability to solve social problems. Moreover, the living standard of the residents in our country is constantly improving with the economic development, so piano has become more common. In piano teaching, we should not only cultivate students'basic piano playing skills, but also pay attention to the cultivation of core literacy. Based on this, this paper starts with the basic connotation of the core quality of piano course, first of all, it analyses the necessity and existing problems of cultivating students'core quality in piano course of colleges and universities, then focuses on the ways of cultivating students' core quality in piano teaching, hoping to provide some reference for the relevant research of cultivating students'core quality in piano course of colleges and universities in China.
